Formerly known as Gwapotel Inn, a pet project of former MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando; this inn has been renamed MMDA Workers' Inn by the current leadership of the MMDA.

Overview of the Inn when it was still known as Gwapotel (a play on the words Gwapo or Handsome and Hotel):

(Overnight stay: P50 a night(24hrs)/ P25 for 10 hours) run by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has become a big hit with transients due to safe and decent lodgings. 40,000 transients have registered in the 4-story “hotel” on Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila, since its May 14, 2007 opening. The 710-bed inn, painted in Mr. Fernando's signature pink and blue, posted an average occupancy rate of 73%, or 519 guests daily. The overnighters share a common sleeping area with double-deck beds.

All tenants are required to present IDs. Foreigners are not allowed to check in...and all should abide with the existing rules and regulation
