As we all know every country has a typical accent when its people speak English (including myself) so after giving it some thought, I came up with a few lines where I simply tried to compare different English accents: the somewhat rigid British accent and beginners in Southeast Asia whose English tends to be a little hard-edged. No pun or ridicule was intended.

As an individual who use to take English classes over the phone with a Filipino instructor, I give you my word that even the mere thought of mocking Filipinos would never cross my mind.
I cannot tell you how much Filipino fans mean to me and as much as I love them, I would in no way
hurt or upset them.

I hope I have clarified any misunderstandings and once again I am truly sorry if I inadvertently
hurt anyone's feelings.

hey everyone! wow, it's been a while since the last time i was here. this whole thing about Ms. Lee has been stirring up on FB world right now. lots of netizins are disappointed at her not only as a korean actress but as a public figure as well. Some even sent me a message saying that posting the video was a big mistake after all because he feels that it is so embarrassing to let the world know that Filipinos have a peculiar accent. point is, was it really wrong to post it in order to catch her attention and get the apology that we deserve for mocking the filipinos in the first place? intentionally or not, she ahould have been more careful of throwing words out of her mouth. on the other hand, it's totally fine to be angry and all that, it's our right to do so but as humble and civilized human beings, it doesn't mean we can't forgive people for their mistakes right? i am not a big fan of her and eventhough i am living in korea, i barely know her as an actress.
one of the reasons why we Filipinos in Korea reacted right away in this matter is because we've been working really hard to prove that eventhough we are not English native speakers, we can do the job better than 100% native speakers who have blue eyes, blonde hair and white skin. but how many of us here who can't find teaching jobs because of racial discrimination? also i don't intent to stereotype koreans since most of my friends here are koreans and they are super nice. but friends and jobs here never mix. the video we posted was intended to catch her
attention or the KBS itself to let them know that it is not right to mock or ridicule people of
different race and culture for entertainment purpose regardless of their jobs and social status in
korea. for me anger arises only when we start to stereotype and disrespect people of different
race and she apologized ( informally? yeah) have we caught her attention? (hell yeah!) but if we
can't learn how to be forgiving, what kind of Filipinos are we? what makes us different from her,
then? but again everyone of us is entitled to believe and do what we want. peace mga kabayan!

LEE DA HAE IS A LIAR!!Ang linaw naman ng video na napanood ko na nakasaad ang flag ng pilipinas at ang pagkakasabi ng isang host kung paano mag english ang philippines. taliwas ito sa kanyang apology sa tweeter na hindi sya aware na inedit daw ito ng show.
