Procedure of Employment
EPS-Test of Proficiency in Korean
Eligibility to apply for EPS-TOPIK
* Person aged between 18 and 39
* Person with no criminal record in relation to serious offence punishable by imprisonment
* Person with no past records of deportation or departure under a departure orderfrom the Republic of Korea
* Person who is not subject to travel ban in his/her home country
* Person who fulfills the eligibility requirements decided by both country
Implementation of EPS-TOPIK
* Implemented at each country considering th number of valid rosters and anticipated roster-exhausting time
* Specific schedule and details are announced in advance
EPS-TOPIK questions
* listening(25 questions) and reading comprehensions(25 questions) (Total test time is 70 minutes)

Announcement of test passers
* How to announce
o Announced through web page on designated day after EPS-TOPIK implemented

o Posted at Sending Agency in sending country
* Pass Criteria : Among the candidates who scored over 80 points (full marks 200), designated number of candidates will pass in order of highest score
* Valid term of EPS-TOPIK : 2 years from announcement date of Test result
Others
* Even the candidates pass the EPS-TOPIK, they only obtain qualification to be registered in EPS Pool through Job application, it does not guarantee employment in Korea

Job Application
Eligibility of job application
* Person aged between 18 and 40
* Person who passed EPS-TOPIK
* Person who fits for medical checkup decided by Korean government
* Person with no criminal record in relation to serious offence punishable by imprisonment
* Person who does not have previous record of deportation/eviction order from Korea
* * Person who wants to make job application shall issue the passport prior to the job application
How to make job application
* Submit the designated Job Application Form to the Sending Agency which appointed according to MOU concluded between Korea and sending country
Job application period
* Submit Job application form and necessary documents within the valid term of EPS-TOPIK (2 years)
* ※ If valid term of EPS-TOPIK(2 years) has been expired, candidate shall pass EPS-TOPIK
Valid term of job application : valid for 1 year from the day of approval
* ※ If a worker could not sign the labor contract within the valid term of roster, the worker can make job application again withing the valid term of EPS-TOPIK
Notice
* Registering roster in EPS Pool does not guarantee employment in Korea because EPS is the system that employer can select workers among the registered workers in EPS pool.
Standard Labor Contract Signing
Standard Labor Contract
* Standard Labor Contract is adopted when signing labor contract between employer and foreign workers
* Contents of labor contract
o Period of labor contract
o Place of working area, occupation description
o Working hours, recess hours and day off
o Components of wage, how and when to pay
o Other matters concerning the working conditions which need to be preset between employer and foreign worker
* Probation period can applied maximum 3 months and the period can be estimated from the day of beginning of actual work. 10% can be deducted from the minimum wage or more is going to be paid for the foreign worker under probation period.
* Labor contract come into force from the day of the worker enters Korea
How to sign labor contract
* When certain worker is selected by employer, the Standard Labor Contract is forwarded to the Sending Agency by HRD Korea
* Sending Agency informs the contents of the labor contract to the job seeker and report the job seeker's intention to HRD Korea.
Notice for labor contract signing
* If labor contract has been cancelled by the reason of foreign workers, job application is restricted for 1 year
* If foreign workers do not satisfied with the contents of the contract, the job seeker can refuse to sign the contract for only 1 time but if refused 2nd times, the job application is restricted for 1 year
Preliminary Training
Subject to Preliminary Training
* Foreign workers who concluded labor contract with Korean employer
Preliminary Training period
* 45 hours for those workers who not applied probationary period
Contents of Preliminary Training
* Korean Language education
* Understanding of Korean culture
* Understanding of Employment Permit System
* Basic training such as industrial safety
* Education by industry
Preliminary Training institutes
* Preliminary Training can be conducted at public institutes run by national budget and under the administration of government ministry
* Training institutes is approved by Korean MOEL among the organization recommended by sending country
Entry to Korea
CCVI (Certificate for Confirmation of Visa Issuance) and VISA
* When labor contract concluded between employers and foreign workers, employers can apply for CCVI of the worker to Ministry of Justice of ROK. MOJ issues CCVI after examining each worker.
* Foreign workers who got issued CCVI apply for visa to the Korean Embassy in the Sending country through the Sending Agency
Entry schedule setup
* Those who got issued visa shall be prepared to enter Korea on the day scheduled by HRD Korea such as flight ticket reservation.
* Labor contract and medical checkup certificate need to be carried before entry to Korea
Entry to Korea and Employment Training
* When entering Korea, foreign workers need to wear uniforms and Name Tag distributed by Sending Agency
* Workers enter Korea on scheduled day by HRD Korea shall guided to the Employment Training Center after going through entry formalities under HRD Korea's guidance at the airport.
* Foreign workers shall complete Employment Training for 20 hours (3 days and 2nights) after entry to Korea

oo nga tol e, ang pgka2alam ko din on or before the entry date... my possibility kc na mgbackout ung employer f matagalan pa unless reasonable yung pagkakadelay ng entry natin.... wala din tau magawa kundi sundin at maganty n lng..... pero sana mganda din yung xplanation nila f ever na mgback out ung employer natin...
