CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The incoming administration of Governor-elect Lilia "Nanay Baby" Pineda is planning to hold a "mass oath-taking" of all elected officials in the province.

Vice Governor Joseller "Yeng" Guiao said they are now coordinating with various elected officials for the oath-taking.

Guiao said the mass oath-taking could be a good start for all officials as they begin to serve their respective constituents.

"This is aimed to promote unity and solidarity among elected officials," he said.

He said unity has never been achieved during the administration of the outgoing Governor Eddie Panlilio.

This is what the new administration would like to prevent, said Guiao.

It can be recalled that Panlilio failed to win the support of Provincial Board members and the mayors in the province.

Despite the misunderstanding between the provincial executive and legislative body, Guiao said that he managed to unify the board members as manifested in unanimous vote on various issues involving the welfare of the province.
