I have received an unconfirmed information from an email, sent to me by one of those agencies in Manila catering to Korea travel and employment, in regards to the much awaited 8th Korean Language Test (KLT) scheduled to be held in the Philippines.

To some of you who may not know, the KLT Exam or more officially known as the EPS-TOPIK (Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean) Exam is an exam conducted by the Human Resources Development of Korea (HRD Korea) in 15 countries (including the Philippines) sending migrant workers to South Korea through the Employment Permit System (EPS). This exam will determine the capability and proficiency of all EPS worker candidates in adapting to their future Korean working environment through the means of their current Korean language skill and comprehension. In short, the KLT exam is the most important hurdle an EPS worker candidate need to surpass before he or she can be included in the official HRD Korea manpower list of foreign workers.

So, according to the mail sent to me recently, the 8th EPS-TOPIK Exam schedule for the Philippines will be conducted on March 11, 2012. Registration period, facilitated by the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) and its satellite offices nationwide, are scheduled to be held from February 6 up to February 9, 2012. Testing venues all over the country for the March EPS-TOPIK exam are to be announced in a later date. All EPS candidate workers are advised to secure all the required papers and identifications (including photocopies) before proceeding to the registration halls.

Again, this information is still unconfirmed, meaning the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency, which is the sole authority in the Philippines that handles the deployment of Filipino workers to Korea, has not officially released an announcement regarding this rumored 8th KLT EPS Exam.

So for now, let us take all this information with a grain of salt and let’s wait for the official statement by either the POEA or the HRD Korea regarding the much anticipated 8th EPS KLT Exam for Filipino recruits to South Korea.

Wla p talagang definite na date sa POEA...

Tama..abangan nlng sa poea..dahil madami pa di nkakaalis e..paalisin muna lhat bago mag pa exam dpat..
