part daw po ng mlitary service nla ang pagiging factory worker for 2yrs and 2mos. instead na magsoldier kya binabawasan weguk saram palit korean new rules daw po.

matagal na yata yan sila ganu depend lang sa kanila ano pipiliin nila.mag "military service or work sa company"..kasi may koreano ako ankasama ganun bata pa nga sanay na sa work ayaw nya soldier daw kaya pinili nya work nalang .

marami din sa company ko nyan mga tol, halos 50% ng manpower workforce namin galing military service. Korea Green Flag carrier company (used tire recycling) kc kmi parang semi-government owned yta pag ganun kaya marami cla naa-avail na trainees.3D din ang work pero nkakatagal sila kc 8 hrs work/day lng kami d2, gusto kc ng mga yan ay wlang ot kaya pati kami wla din.meron din d2 sa amin 3 mos. lang ngpalipat na pero mostly tinatapus muna yung 1 year at pagkatapus mag-attend ng firing/combat training.

sir dave ask lang po pwede po ba nmin request sa employer nmin na kami ang maghawak ng aming passport?kasi di po namin mahiram kapag kailangan namin depende kung uuwi at renew ang reason mo.thanx po and god bless.

It is illegal for a Korean to hold the passport of another country's
citizen.

Sa Batas po, bawal hawakan ng ng iyong amo ang iyong passport. Makipag-usap po kayo ng maaayos sa inyo amo. Sakali pong hindi pumayag ay saka po tayo humingi ng assistance sa mga kinauukulan. Balitaan nyo po kami para sa resulta ng pakikipag-usap.

addtional answer to your query... when you explain to your employer, try to tell him the specific article of the Immigration Act or you can print this and show to him.. please refer below (english & korean version)...

Article 33-2 (Prohibition on Using Foreigner Registration Certificates as Means to Secure Fulfillment of Obligation)
Any person shall be prohibited from committing the act falling under each of the following subparagraphs:
1. The act of being provided with or coercing any foreigner to provide his passport or foreigner registration certificate for the purpose of using it as a means to secure a contract for job or the fulfillment of obligation;

第33條의2(外國人登錄證 등의 채무이행확보 수단제공 등의 금지) 누구든지 다음 各號의 1의 행위를 하여서는 아니된다.
1. 外國人의 旅券 또는 外國人登錄證을 취업에 따른 계약 또는 채무이행의 확보수단으로 제공받거나 그 제공을 강요하는 행위

you may also contact the Immigration Office Invistigation Division directly at tel. # 02-1345 or 1588-7191 if ayaw pa rin ibigay ang passport nyo...

saan po na aksidente? what do you mean hindi pa nakapirma at nakaregister? sa company ba?

if hindi pa nakapirma ng kontrata that means hindi pa po siya official employee ng company... bakit po siya nagwowork na wala pa palang kontrata?

if naaksidente sa work location at walang kontratang pinirmahan malabo po na may makukuhang Industrial Accident Insurance or medical discount thru National Health Insurance... pero if willing po tumulong ang employer, may chance po na makakuha... pero if ayaw tumulong, try nyo nalang lumapit ng labor office... pero sa tingin ko malabo po...

sa company po sya naaksidente d ble 3 days plng cya inaayos p lng ung contract nya pro ngwork n cya,.. binayaran n ni sajang ung ospital bill nya 60manon pro sbi n sajang wla dw cya mkukuha kc wla p cya insurance ...my alm po b kyong mkkausap ng sajang ko pra mpliwanag sa knya kung paano mkkuha ung naaksidente kc hindi kmi mgkaintindihan zero english c sajang hangulmalmote nmn ako.

kabayan,

may naputol ba o nawalang parte ng katawan ng naaksidente? kasi if wala tapos binayaran na pala ng sajangnim ang lahat na hospital bills, i think wala po siyang makukuha... more so, sinabi din pala ng sajangnim niya na hindi pa siya na-iregister ng any insurance...

anyway, try to contact CKOMWEL (Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service), the insurance company handling IACI (Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance)... there is an english representative... try to ask your friend's situation by providing the details of the accident and his ARC number... you can call at 02-2670-0319...

kabayan,

what do you mean hindi po kayo makapasok sa e-register? sa POEA website ba? if tama po ako, baka mali yung username at password nyo?

then if you will make a new account, hindi na po pwede kasi nakaregister na po ang name nyo sa system... so ganito nalang gagawin mo...

sir dave ulet ask ko lng po yung frend ko ex-korea 1yr and 7mos. cya bago po cya umuwi ng pinas ay my iniwan cyang bayarin sa mga pulis kc napaaway cla sa mga koreano sa club,,,tanong po kc ngtake po uli sya ng klt exam at pumasa...maari po ba cyang mahold dahil my kaso cyang iniwan d2???
