sir , pede po ba ma clear about the red calendar dates.. kasi po samin d2 sa workplace namin.. ay regular pay lang ang red calendar day like May 5..etc..hindi po ba violation sa labor law..?

kung ganun po sir dave ay lumalabas na vioalation nga po yun ng company namin kasi po more than 5 employees kami then since may 2007 na nagstart kami d2 sa company namin ay laging regular pay lang ang bayad nila sa holiday red calendar na pinagtrabhuhan namin... at isa pa po ay kapag di kami pumasok wala din bayad.. lumalabas lang po na no work no pay kami sa company nmin..ano po ba ang nararapat na gawin at sino ang pedeng lapitan.? sinabi na namin to sa cha jang namin .. pero lagi sagot ay sat at sun lang ang 150% payment..may hotline number po ba ang mga labor office dito sa Boryeong?

to all concerned,

let me share you the detailed Holiday benefits in Korea applicable E-9 visa workers... this is applicable only to companies with 5 or more regular workers... please refer below...

according to labor office representative, the Korean labor law does not totally requires public holidays to be a paid holiday unless it is stated in your employment contract or unless the company has a special agrement with labor office... in other words, public holidays in general are considered as unpaid holidays or NO WORK-NO PAY...more so, Saturdays are considered as no workdays with no pay if the company is implementing 40-hrs workweek system...

however sundays (if a worker has a perfect attendance in a regular working week) and labor day are always considered as paid holidays...

how to compute the salary... please refer below table i made for easy understanding... hope this will help...

sir dave thank you po sa.. immediate response...nun pong mar 1.. regular pay lang ang bingay samin....meron po akong computation at record ng sweldo ko. kya alam ko po na walng +150% na dagdag.. ngayon po kung matutulungan niyo kami.. ay pede po ba na ang reklamo ay itawag sa hotline number ng labor office..?
may alam po ba kayo na matatawagan about this matter..?

i suggest to explain first to your employer ang tamang policy sa holiday benefits... sabihin mo na tumawag ka na sa labor... pwede mo ipakita ang table na yan...

if ayaw pa rin makinig sa explanation mo, you should visit the nearest labor office to file a petition against your employer regarding that matter... then the labor office will call the attention of your employer...

if you really wanna call the labor office (english representative), call them at 031-345-5000... just follow the auto-instruction you can hear after dialing...
