Thanks for the reply.
I'm here for 6years na with E7 visa.

Re: About permanent residency
actually, there is already a process in place for long time resident foreigners to get an F5 ( permanent resident visa), although it is a long process and I have never actually heard of anyone getting an F5 this way (only those who are married to koreans)
According to an attorney, all you need is
5 years in Korea (maximum of 3 months stay when you go abroad)
at least 30 million won in the bank or property of equal value.
At least 2 letters of reference from people of the upper class. These can be from lawyers, doctors, congressmen, professors ect.
You have to have a lawyer apply directly to the Ministry of Justice who will review your documents and make the decision.
According to the immigration web site, F5 does not require Korean language profiency. The only "VISA" that requires Korean language proficiency is not actually a VISA at all. Korean language proficiency is only required for Naturalization ie. giving up your passport and home nationality and becoming a Korean citizen.
Me too I have a desire to be an F5 holder, it has so many advantages. I am only on my 4th year here so maybe 2 years from now I'll try to apply..
Good Luck Emart hope you'll be the first Pinoy to get permanent resident visa without marrying Korean nationals.
Keep posted...

ICHAN, pwede mo ba bigay sa akin yung immigration website na sabi mo kung saan nakalagay yung F5 does not require Korean Language Proficiency. I need to review in details.
Thanks,
Emart

Re: About permanent residency
Galing pala ako sa Masan Immigration last week to inquire directly about F5 Visa (Permanent Residency Visa). Kailangan din ay sumasahod ka ng minimum of 45,000,000 won a year at i-submit mo sa kanila tax report mo showing your annual income with proper tax. Minimum 5 years stay in Korea (continuous stay).
Mabigat ang requirements..... Hindi pa kaya ng powers ko!!!

Hello there, my friend mentioned about E5 and E7 "passes" i'm not sure what you call it there i am neither. How do I get one? To even begin with how do I go about applying for a work visa or where is it easier to find an employer who would sponsor me for work in Korea? Ayoko sanang umalis sa Pinas pero our country's current state is driving Filipinos to find work abroad. Halp? Would gladly appreciate it....

Re: About permanent residency
check the website www.hikorea.go.kr
Malalaman mo dyan different types of visa and requirements.
Makikita mo direct hire jobs through jobsites or newspapers.

Hi there!
I guess mas maganda kung apply ka muna for korean citizenship, both considered kasi kayong foreign...pag na korean ka na, you have to get f2 visa first ( for your husband) to apply f5 visa...
requirements:
1. Marriage certificate or family register
2. financial certificate (which shows how much money you have)
3.your personal guarantee (Someone who is Korean lives in Korea has to guarantee you.
ps.
