Filipino woman become Korean police officer. She is none other than Annabelle Castro, born in 1968, from San Carlos, Pangasinan,Philippines . The naturalized Korean graduated July 25,2008 from the National Central Police Academy. Castro did work in departments dealing with foreigners at police agencies in Gyeonggi and South Gyeongsang respectively.

``I will care for many Filipino women married to Korean men and their children. Also, many Filipinos who are illegally working here are afraid of the police, but I will help them get home safely,�� Castro said before in an interview of media here in South Korea

Castro is married to a Korean and first came to Korea several years ago, she has three children. She used to teach English in after-school programs and also worked as an interpreter.. She was the first foreign born woman to become a police officer after changing her nationality.

And so I do believe that it is possible for a non�Korean born Korean to work in a government. DJ Regina or Maria Regina Panol Arquiza has also become an instant public figure among the various Filipino communities, featured in leading national broadsheets like The Chosun Ilbo and JoongAng Daily, and TV programs like MBC, SBS and KBS of South Korea.

Saint scholastica�s College graduate , Regina earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, minor in Print Journalism in 2005. She always remember one very important quote that her professor in St. Scho was always telling them at school,� Ging-Ging (nickname) says, �If you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a woman, you educate a community� and I won�t forget it,� said DJ Regina.

We also have Cavite born Judith Alegre Hernandez join the Republic of Korea Party to run in Congress on April 9, 2008, she have been active in community in seongnam by making programs to foreign spouses and improving the welfare of migrant workers, but even though she did not succeeded in the election. She is still a winner for me and very proud fof her , I don�t personally know this person but she is a brave woman.. I hope and dream , someday there will be a brave Filipino or Filipina like Judith to run again in congress and will achieve VICTORY .
