Ways on How to Express yourself Confidently
hello once again..here are some tips and tricks on how to express yourself confidently...
specially in a conversation, sometime we feel awkward coz we are shy, or we cannot express wat we want to say...
A. Learn to Talk Confidently
Learning how to talk with confidence is great for business, public speaking and even in your social life.
Spend some time practicing confident speaking and you will even feel more confident about yourself in general.
1.Keep the pace of your words moderate. It is hard to understand people who talk too fast. Confident speakers talk slowly, but not to the point of being a bore.
2.Spend some time enhancing your vocabulary. Being redundant can make your presentation dull, and make you appear unintelligent. Also, with a large repertoire or words at your command you will appear as an authority.
3.Speak from your diaphragm. This gives your voice resonance and projection.
4.Use open hand gestures with your palm facing up. This says "Hey! I have nothing to hide, I'm speaking the truth!"
5.Make eye contact with your audience
6."Uh...", "You know?", "Right?"
Kill these words/phrases! Using these will make you seem unprofessional and un-confident.
7.Stand straight, keep your hands out of your pockets and do not forget to smile!
dont look at your feet..

B.Learn to Walk Confidently
Confidently going about your day can enhance your business and social life and significantly increase self-image.
1. Breathe deep. One of the most seemingly insignificant things is deceivingly helpful. Correct breathing is helpful in every situation.
2.Develop good posture. Stand straight and tall, whilst keeping your shoulders elevated.
3.Keep your head slightly inclined upwards. Do not "look down your nose", rather keep your chin parallel to the ground.
4.At social functions, yet reserving your open-mouth smile for when you make eye contact with another person. This way you appear approachable, and the people who make eye contact think you are making a big smile JUST for THEM.
5.For business, keep a serious face (but not a scowl). As in step 4, give a big warm open-mouth smile to those whom make eye contact.
6.Make eye contact with those you pass bye; averting your eyes is a submissive gesture. Keep in mind, in some countries it is rude to hold eye contact (study body language customs before dealing with someone from another country).
7.Finally, decide on speed. Specific situations call for different speeds. Would you like to appear busy? Walk fast, in a controlled fashion (not speed walking).
-----summing up..
++Appear approachable.Move deliberately.Visualize what you think of as confident and act on that.Head and shoulders up.Do not intimidate people with your eye contact. We are going for confidence, not aggressiveness.
