my father are pats away last dec 2008 at age of 72, eh my ngsbi po sa kin ng iprocess q dw po ung pgkmtay nya dhil ofw dw po aq at 72 na erpat q eh my mkukuha dw po aqng benefits, nsa akin n po ung death cert. ng erpat q w/ red rebbon from dfa w/ trans;ation ng korean language from korean imbassy from phil., ang tanong ko po eh di q po alam kng pno iprocess dto, bka po alam nyo, plse pkitulungan nmn po aq kc 1st tym ko po mg-abroad, my nbanggit p rin n sana maasikaso q agad dhil kng hindi dw eh bka gobyerno na nmn ang mkinabang! tnx po and Godbless!

sorry for my late reply... and belated condolence!

i had verified your concern to the Ministry of Labor... and they said, there is no provision regarding burial benefits or insurance in Korea if a worker's parents died...

also, as I reviewed the Korea Labor Standard Act, wala din po akong nakitang provision na nagsasaad ng same benefits...

any benefits would only happen if there is a mutual agreement through signed contract between an employer and the employee concerned...
