A Tribute to the 110th Celebration of the Philippine Independence Day
A Tribute to the 110th Celebration of the Philippine Independence Day
Freedom!
The cry of our heroes during the proclamation of the Philippine Independence heard in 1898. After 110 years of achieving and of being an independent nation, what’s next for the Philippines?
Courageous Filipinos keep on fighting for the country’s freedom, neither religion nor territory, but hunger as a result of poverty.
Rice shortage, high unemployment rate, graft and corruption and other national problems are seriously tightens up almost 89 Million Filipinos into severe bondage.
Despite of the predicaments and issues, we never lose hope and determination to uphold the sovereignty of our beloved motherland as we become more global out of the challenges that confronting us.
For years, we have proven our worth for we are gifted with talents, have developed our skills and possess compassion for others.
We are highly recognized thru our world-class performers who have conquered the world of entertainment and highly identified with our hard labor. These have highly regarded us of becoming global partners in the world’s economic development.
These privileges and better opportunities helped a lot to free us from poverty but slave of the thoughts of our home as we sacrifice for our family.
As we commemorate the declaration of the Philippine Independence, we greatly honor the unconditional sacrifices of our living heroes spearheaded by the Overseas Filipino Workers and expatriates who keep on bringing so much pride and glory despite of some reported abuses, prejudice and misfortune.
Also, the “Bayanihan” or a communal unity in the spirit of volunteerism still exists among Filipinos working overseas.
Here, in South Korea, individuals join together to empower one another in a group; an organization of migrants with a common goal-to help fellow migrants.
Civic oriented groups, the religious, Korean spouses, common workers as well as concerned Koreans are helping out the distressed workers regardless of the status quo, gender, religion, visa status and educational background.
Thus, as we celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Philippine Independence and 13th Philippine Migrants’ Day in South Korea, let us band together in supporting our Kababayan to be more productive and show the foreign community with much pride of how talented, skillful, united and global we Filipinos have become.

Re: National Pride, Global Partners
