LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE

Is unconditional love possible? To swiftly answer 'yes' to that question would be tantamount to ordaining yourself a saint. Love within the reality of human condition simply cannot be without that: CONDITION. We grow up with those conditions. From our parents telling us to do this or else... to our teachers telling us to study hard and do our assignments to pass, to people and society expecting us to act in certain ways or face alienation... Conditions swarm our lives all over. It would not be so hard to think then that we also do, act and live our lives setting conditions to the world around us. And indeed we do. Even with love. However, a flat answer of 'no' to the above question would amount to denying the countless miracles written throughout history in the name of love. The stories of the Buddha, Jesus, Gandhi, and so many others who sacrificed their lives for others is a testament of love's greatness and power to overcome the impossible. To deny that would be a great disservice to the next generation. It would be tantamount to denying them the necessary ideal of being able to love and fight for it to the fullest.

Unconditional love then is not a question of possibility. It is an eternal challenge to every person to love and live love to the fullest. Therefore love cannot be without measure simply because it's not meant to be measured. It's meant to be LIVED. Tropang Smile Again (TSA)
