sir dave,

1) under 44-hrs work week system...
-> 2009 minimum wage = 4000 won/hr
-> total regular hours monthly (8hrs Mon. ~ Fri. plus 4hrs Sat. + Sunday Paid Holiday) = 226 hrs
-> 4000 won/hr x 226hrs = 904,000 won
Note: If you work more than 8-hrs during Mon. ~ Fri. and more than 4-hrs during Sat. and all hours during Sun. and Public Holidays, yung excess worked hours ninyo should be considered as Overtime Work already and the salary rate must be 6000 won/hr or 150% salary.

2) Yung sinabi mong 32,000 won, yun ang Monthly Paid Leave ninyo which is converted to cash allowance... if you have a perfect attendance in one month exluding overtime absences , you should receive that allowance... if meron po kayong absent kahit half day lang per month that means hindi na po kayo perfect attendance...

3) about holidays, as i know there are 2 categories of holidays in Korea... these are Paid and Unpaid Holidays... Paid Holidays are those holidays na even a worker does not work, meron pa rin siyang sahod according to 8-hrs minimum wage and if a worker have work in these holidays he/she must be paid with additional 150% salary... yun namang Unpaid Holidays, if walang work, wala pong sahod... but if merong work, meron siyang 150% salary... sa mga Red Calendar Dates including Sundays, i believe these are belong to Paid Holidays while Saturdays and other National or Public Holidays which are not in Red Calendar Dates yun po ay Unpaid Holidays...

thanks...

kabayan,

in Korean Labor Law, all Sundays are considered as Paid Holidays (same as Red Calendar Dates) ... kahit walang trabaho, meron pa rin tayong sahod na equivalent to 8-hrs Minimum Wage... if may work, meron tayong additional 150% na sahod based on minimum wage per hour...

but if nag-absent ka ng Sunday, hindi po dapat kakaltasan ang basic salary mo because Sunday is a Paid Holiday...

thanks...
